Lee Chambers has written, produced and directed many films over the last 25 years with executive producer support from 3 Academy Award winners, including Roger Corman. Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, Chambers holds College credentials in graphic design, advertising and teaching. His passion for video and film production lead to a paid position creating community television programs at MacLean Hunter Cable Television in 1991. Higher education followed with a City and Guilds diploma in Video and Television Production, followed by a post-graduate diploma in Film Production from Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK.
He spent almost ten years out of Canada, working in England and Los Angeles writing and directing drama shorts, music videos and commercials (plus numerous crew positions on feature films and television programs). His work, which includes working for the BBC, EMI and Miramax, has been screened at top festivals, such as the Cannes Film Festival and the Edinburgh International Film Festival. Critical acclaim has come from Empire Magazine, Total Film Magazine and Fox Television. Over the last decade Lee Chambers has been nominated and won numerous awards for screenwriting short films and features.
His movies, Copenhagen Road and his debut feature The Pineville Heist, can been seen on Amazon Prime and at cinemas around the world where his creative work has been awarded at hundreds of festivals, including a nomination for the Director’s Guild of Canada Ontario Award. Along with making films, Lee Chambers is also a mentor and a popular motivational speaker, panel moderator and juror at film festivals in the USA, Canada, Australia, England, Portugal, Iraq and the Cayman Islands.
