Mitch Kurylowicz
Activist, Philanthropist, Social Responsibility and Entrepreneur Expert
Mitch Kurylowicz is a passionate storyteller and speaker. He summited Mt. Kilimanjaro when he was 12 years old, was in Egypt one week before the start of the Arab Spring, spent a day with Bono on Canada’s Parliament Hill, has played recycled drums with Marshawn Lynch in Kenya, shot blowguns in the Amazon, first met Bill Gates backstage at a concert, and lived in a shipping container in war-torn Mogadishu. Kurylowicz has travelled to some of the most remote and dangerous places in the world, and has also spent time with the most powerful and knowledgeable on the planet. This has given him a unique insight into what the happiest people and heroes have in common.
Mitch Kurylowicz also started Project Jenga, a non-profit organization working with the WE Movement to bring secondary education to Kenya. Project Jenga has successfully funded and constructed a boarding high school in Kenya, and has hosted corporate events across Canada for six years. Through this project, Mitch raised over $1 million by his 19th birthday. Kurylowicz started a new initiative called MAKE LUCK HISTORY in 2016, proving that everyone has an incentive to be a part of the solution to global poverty and bridge the opportunity gap. It is now a registered Canadian consulting firm serving clients internationally.
Mitch Kurylowicz is an energetic and thoughtful speaker who will take you beyond inspiration for inspiration’s sake. He has shared the stage with world leaders, spiritual teachers and A-list celebrities, to groups as large as 20,000 people and has given two TEDx talks and keynotes internationally on four continents.
For his efforts, Mitch Kurylowicz has been recognized nationally in Canada by the Governor General’s Sovereign’s Medal and globally by the Mandela Legacy Award. Mitch currently sits on the board and governance committee of The Ottawa Hospital Foundation and is an advisor and planning committee member of Rainmaker Enterprise. He formerly sat on the Board of WE. He has also been a contributor on CTV, and has appeared in the Globe & Mail, Huffington Post, & on CBC.
Topic Presentations
Mitch Kurylowicz exposes the benefits of finding new ways to give at a corporate level. From engaging conscious consumers to impactive investing overseas, he will show you why you have an opportunity to make change and profit simultaneously. Mitch can also sit down with your Corporate Social Responsibility team to help you uniquely select the region and demographic that you want to support.
Mitch Kurylowicz believes in incentive; in relationships, in business, and in life. You can feel personally happy when you give your time, energy or money. You can also make money when you empower people with opportunity limitations. Being a part of the solution is in your best interest, and Mitch will guide you to find out why and what you can do about it.
Being lucky (with health, safety and access to opportunity) means that you are in the global minority. Mitch takes you around the world on his journey to all corners of the planet, through conversations with the Amazonian Shaman, the Maasai Warrior, the Indian man who lives in the street median, and the richest 1%, to show you what the happiest people and the heroes have in common.
