Pearlene Clunis

Personal & Professional Life Growth, Diversity & Inclusion Expert

Pearlene Clunis was born in Osoyoos, British Columbia, but moved to Minitonas and Moosehorn, Manitoba, in her early childhood.

Pearlene experienced cultural immersion as her parents welcomed many international visitors. She had the good fortune of being introduced to many different cultures in her childhood and youth. She also had the opportunity to overcome challenges through the goodness of others and her own brand of resiliency.

Those varying experiences led her into the fashion world where she owned her own business and became an international award-winning fashion designer.  The Little Girl from Osoyoos would have never imagined that.

Throughout her career in the fashion industry, she grew passionate about women’s rights and the need to advocate on behalf of vulnerable and exploited women.

This has become a significant part of Pearlene purpose as She strives to build a culturally diverse and inclusive society.

We are more powerful and effective than we give ourselves credit for. Sometimes, we simply need someone to remind us of that truth. We need to know that our individual actions matter, that what we do can change the course of a single life and impact the destiny of many.

Devon and Pearlene have spoken to audiences of all ages; in schools, businesses, government, and community gatherings. Their messages of hope have inspired many locally in Winnipeg, nationally across Canada, and internationally in the U.S. and the Caribbean.
