Kim Tabac is a bold and experienced HR leader with over 25 years of success designing people and culture strategies that fuel growth. She leads her own consulting practice and serves as Executive in Residence at MaRS Momentum, guiding high-growth companies through scale and change. Previously Chief People Officer at League Inc. and Partner at Deloitte Canada, Kim has shaped strategies around leadership, inclusion, and employee experience. She also teaches future HR leaders at George Brown College. Kim holds CHRP, CHRL, and CHRE designations, and a B.A. from McGill. Kim Tabac is a highly respected leader in Human Resources with over 25 years of experience designing people strategies that drive business performance, strengthen culture, and support meaningful growth. As the Founder and Principal of Kim Tabac Human Resources Inc., she partners with CEOs and executive teams during defining moments—when companies are scaling, evolving their leadership, or navigating transformation. Kim’s approach is grounded, strategic, and deeply human. She helps organizations turn complex decisions into clear, aligned action with people at the center.
Kim has held senior executive roles in some of Canada’s most recognized organizations. As Chief People Officer at League Inc., she supported the company’s rapid expansion across North America, building a strong cultural foundation while scaling headcount, structure, and leadership capability. At Deloitte Canada, she served as Partner and Chief Talent Officer, where she led firm-wide people strategy, launched inclusion and wellness initiatives, and modernized the employee experience across a national footprint.
Today, Kim advises organizations at pivotal stages—moments when alignment between business and people strategy is essential. Whether supporting founder-led companies preparing for their next stage of growth, advising executive teams on cultural transformation, or helping businesses navigate change with integrity, Kim brings a steady hand and a sharp mind. Her work spans industries including technology, professional services, real estate, retail, and non-profit. Clients turn to her when the stakes are high, and the people decisions matter most.
In addition to her consulting practice, Kim serves as Executive in Residence at the MaRS Discovery District’s Momentum Program, where she provides CHRO-level guidance to Canada’s top growth-stage ventures. She also teaches in the Human Resources Management Continuing Education Program at George Brown College in Toronto, where she shares her real-world expertise with future HR leaders, reinforcing the importance of both strategy and humanity in the field.
