Paul Isaak is an international consultant, keynote speaker, and leadership educator with a 34 year career in policing and senior leadership experience in healthcare. He is recognized for his expertise in critical incident leadership, workplace wellness, crisis response, and people first leadership strategies. Paul Isaak served nearly half of his policing career within the Forensic Crime Scene Investigative Unit, advancing from investigator to Staff Sergeant in charge. His leadership included implementing advanced technologies that strengthened operational readiness and investigative capacity.
Throughout his policing career, Paul Isaak developed extensive experience managing high risk environments. He concluded his service overseeing city wide operations, including a 911 emergency call center managing more than 275000 service calls annually. This role required advanced decision making, resource management, and coordination under pressure. Paul Isaak gained direct insight into leadership accountability where decisions carried immediate consequences.
Paul Isaak was appointed by the Police Executive as Wellness Officer and held this role for seven years. He led the Post Critical Incident Program, Peer Assistance Program, and Chaplaincy Program supporting personnel exposed to traumatic events. During this time, Paul Isaak achieved certification in Emergency Services Trauma Care through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation. He also became an approved instructor in Group Crisis Intervention and Individual Peer Support.
The Critical Incident Program under Paul Isaak supported members involved in life threatening situations and traumatic investigations. He facilitated hundreds of debriefing sessions alongside a psychologist, supporting more than 550 members and their families. Paul Isaak transitioned to healthcare in 2021 during the COVID 19 pandemic. He served as Shared Health Manager of Partner Relations and Central Services, applying his leadership approach in a complex operational environment.
