VALERIE PRINGLE BIOGRAPHY

Valerie Pringle is one of Canada’s most prominent and respected broadcasters, known for her extensive career in television journalism and her dedication to various charitable causes. With a background in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University, she embarked on her broadcasting journey at the age of 19 as a student reporter with CFRB Radio in Toronto. Her career path led her to become a pivotal figure in Canadian television, hosting several renowned programs and events.

In 1985, Valerie Pringle played a crucial role in the launch of CBC-TV’s highly successful news and current affairs program, MIDDAY. She later joined CTV in 1993 as the co-host of Canada-AM, and also co-hosted the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics and W-5 from 1996 to 1999. Following her departure from Canada-AM in July 2001, she ventured into documentary production, co-producing, co-writing, and hosting “After the Fall” for Discovery Channel, a documentary about the World Trade Center cleanup, which gained international recognition. Moreover, she has spearheaded various television series, including “Valerie Pringle Has Left the Building” for CTV, “Test of Faith” for Vision-TV, and “The Canadian Antiques Road Show” for CBC-TV.

Valerie Pringle holds a degree in Radio and Television Arts from Ryerson University, which laid the foundation for her illustrious broadcasting career. Her education equipped her with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the dynamic field of media.
