6 key questions about behavioural assessments

Canadian HRReporter

Data-driven, objective assessments can reveal what’s under the surface to find the right fit for both employers and employees Interest in behavioural assessments for recruitment and workforce management is increasing as they become more accessible and affordable for organizations. Canadian HR Reporter spoke with Greg Ford, president, CEO, and co-founder of TalentClick in Vancouver about behavioural assessments. “[Behavioural assessments] are a piece of the puzzle to help predict who will be top performers. Safety Self-awareness: A New Tool To Help Leaders Reduce Human Error and Decrease Incidents

  • Virtual PresentationKeynote PresentationWorkshop SessionHalf Day TrainingFull Day Training
  • Everyone knows we have an IQ.  Some people know we have an EQ, which measures emotional intelligence.  But did you know we all have a built-in intelligence around Risk?

This 60-minute keynote session reveals the link between personality and risk tolerance due to each person’s innate safety intelligence (SQ™). These are our natural “default settings” of being Impulsive vs. Cautious, Distractible vs. Focused, Defiant vs. Compliant, and more. Studies show that up to 95% of incidents are caused by human error—not equipment failure, lack of standard operating procedures, or improper training. Progressive leaders are looking at the human factor in the safety equation.

However, unlike some other behavioural-based safety concepts which focus on observing current behaviours, and “blaming the worker,” Greg will show how leaders can first predict future behaviours using proven psychometrics and then combine that with traditional methods of employee development and leadership coaching.

Participants can take the unique Safety Quotient (SQ) assessment ahead of time and learn their own strengths and risks in the key personality areas related to safety. During the session, Greg will then teach how “safety self-awareness” leads to self-monitoring and safer choices—which of course results in fewer incidents and injuries and helps create a culture of safety excellence.
