Rachel Baptiste partners with boards, corporate, and non-profit organizations across varying industries to bring about transformational change in the areas of equity, diversity, inclusion, organizational development, leadership, and talent management. Rachel has more than 20 years of experience in progressive leadership roles with Fortune 100 companies. Rachel Baptiste is also an Executive Coach certified through International Coach Federation. She was recognized as one of the Top 20 Coaches in Toronto in 2021 by Influence Digest. Rachel is also a mentor and faculty member at the University of Toronto St. Michael’s Post Graduate Program in Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability.

Her most recent executive role was VP, organizational development & corporate social responsibility where she provided executive oversight of the Talent Management Center of Excellence and led the People, Product and Planet Strategy for Canada. Having secured a seat at the executive leadership table, Rachel Baptiste as a woman of colour draws from her lived experiences and expertise in organizational development to advocate for inclusive spaces where diverse talent can move from barely surviving to thriving. She specializes in the areas of servant leadership, leadership development, talent management, future of work, hiring and retention, employee engagement, systems design, organizational leadership, organizational design, equity, diversity & inclusion (ED&I) and 21st Century Corporate Cultures.

In addition, she led Canada’s CSR function and Advisory Council across three core pillars: People, Product, and Planet. Rachel is an ICF and Co-Active certified Leadership Coach (PCC & CPCC) working with executives, emerging leaders, and teams to maximize their potential and performance while navigating an ever changing world. She also works with corporate leaders to build their competency and impact as an inclusive leader. Rachel views an organization as a human centered system which requires a multi pronged and integrated approach to bring about meaningful results.

She founded Lumen Consulting Group Inc. with the belief that an organization can only realize its full potential when the power of all talent is illuminated and ignited. Rachel Baptiste views an organization as human-centered, strengthened by the differences of its people. Her consulting and speaking approach are relatable and engaging.  She acknowledges and meets people where they are while illuminating a path forward for them to envision a brighter future. Rachel is a Faculty member in the Schulich ExecEd (Schulich ExecEd) in addition to being a mentor in the University of Toronto, St. Michael’s College Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Post-Graduate Program.
